The Casual Club

 *excuse my bad posture please*

swimsuit- american apparel, jacket- casual club clothing, tank top- thrifted, shoes- doc martens #teenvogue

Why exactly am I wearing a swimsuit in the middle of a field?
Well, why not?  It's cute, it's mod, it's graphic, and it's fun.  It also went fabulously with the vintage casual club clothing jacket that I picked up at the thrift store, and complemented my slightly offensive yet empowering tank top.  The field was a perfect venue for the shoot, and it only took a duck under an electric fence, a skip, hop, and jump over an abandoned lake, a climb through an old tree-house, and a half hour walk into a wheat field.  Complements to American Apparel for selling a modest, yet stylish swimsuit that didn't make me feel like a 21 year old on display.
I swear,
I am going to be the most stylish blogger at the public pool this summer.

The Working Woman

lipstick- Loreal Paris, pants- Target, clutch- thrifted, shoes- thrifted, it's me, of course they're thrifted.. #teenvogue

Just a normal post...
No?
Oh, right, the ultra-fab cat snapshot I added at the end.
Well, I can't explain why I found it OK to post my kitty cat Lily on my blog, but I mean, who isn't OK with seeing a little adorableness amongst my serious facial expressions and intimidatingly professional bright red lipstick?
What do you guys think of the 'working woman' pantsuit?
I felt like I was about to climb into a cab in New York City and go to my dull, drab work place where my lips would *pop* in the harsh lighting and make the jealous interns gossip behind my stylishly dressed back.
Off to dream about New York,
until next time..

Tip of the Hat

pantsuit- urban outfitters, shoes- mossimo (target), hat- thrifted #teenvogue

My art teacher once told me: "Girl, you make crappy art, but you've sure got a sense of style."
Of course, it was a partial complement, but I accepted it.  Her joyous flattery coaxed me into helping her carry ginormous boxes of clay from her truck to the art room.  It's rather far not to mention.  But the pantsuit kept me positive.  Isn't it just uberfabulouslyfabulousandamazingandperfectandmeeee.  I sound like my sister.
About food..
Never mind that, what do you guys think of my hat?
A hat tip to those that agree it's adorable.

Do the Twist, Jump and Sit

Dress- my sisters, (shh), shirt- thrifted (yes, most of my wardrobe happens to be thrifted), Shoes/Old man loafers- Urban Outfitters, #teenvogue

So I walked outside in my old man loafers, big checkered grandmother button up', and my sister's gorgeous (yet risky to be wearing) floral dress.  And I just started jumping.  And dancing, and twisting and shaking.  I felt straight out of a fifties punk movie.  I was rather dissapointed to be back, but I still had my moves..
What do you think of the ear cuff? And the loafers?

I love them to a fifties movie,
and back.

and,
watching me like I was insane.

The Yard

Dress/Skirt made into dress- thrifted, Sweater- thrifted, Shoes- Doc Martens

For this shoot we went deep into the wilderness..
Well, not really,
We just tried to work through the mess of a garden I call my front yard.  But it's gorgeous for shoots, huh?
The lighting was perfect too.  Everything just went so well the neighborhood kids playing basketball loudly and having sac races down the street didn't even kill my vibe.
My artsy-liciously-good vibe.
Not much to say about this shoot,
Which is odd,
Since it was such a huge shoot.

Doc Martens.
That should summarize it's awesomeness.

Powerhouse

Glasses- amazon, shirt- thrifted, shorts- American Eagle, Shoes- thrifted

These shoes are a powerhouse.  I felt like I could run around the neighborhood defending woman's rights just by wearing them.  I think the kids playing ball in the street were certainly intimidated.

This is the first time I haven't planned my outfit in advance.  I usually spend days planning it.
I mean, I'm my own creative director, photographer, model, publicist, and writer.
Sometimes I just don't have the time.

But this was also one of my favorite outfits so far.
It's so fabulous that those neighborhood kids couldn't handle it and went inside.
It's just that fabulous.

And I think the fact that my shirt and shorts matched perfectly was a sign that they must be worn together at all times.  With boots and glasses.

Do you have powerhouse shoes?
